The new commercial for Intervention makes me cry like an ass every single time it comes on, even if it comes on twice in one commercial break.

So I got myself my own Geeetar last week and right when I'm getting to the point where I can switch chords semi-quickly my fingers are so blistered I can't hold the strings down anymore. it's a no-win man.

My neighbor's horse Bravo got bad colic and died this morning.  I feel so awful for her.  He was an awesome, huge, gentle horse with such a Joe Cool human personality.

A cute little house finch came to the bird feeder tonight and Mourning Dove was out there this morning cooing again--the first two birds I've seen there since I put the feeder out, so yay it's working. I am a little worried that when I have to move it, they will get confused.  I haven't seen any hummingbirds at their feeder yet, but it's probably a little early for them anyways. 

So my phone just rings *ringtone of course being Sweet Home Alabama lol* and whose picture pops up but Amy's, and all I hear on the other end is HEY...HEY YOU HEAR WHAT'S PLAYIN?  and I make out what I think is Saturday Night Special...Then some more mumbling and "we'll call you tomorrow from the boat"

oh Amous, that was the best drunk dial I've ever gotten.  I'm trying to hard to get to Florida or bust.

yesterday i went fishing for the first time this season.  the weather was beautiful--overcast but 60's--but i think the water was still too cold to conjur up much action.  the fish are just too sluggish still...at least the ones I'm interested in catching.  I went to "lake lajobi" first, which is a small drainage pond right outside my office building.  There were a crapload of little baby bass and HUGE carp the size of logs just chillin in the shallows.  I wanted to stop in Cranbury at Brainerd Lake but there was some stupid arts and crafts show going on and all the parking was taken up, so I just kept going to Grover's Mill Pond and cast a few from the walkway.  Dead.  Next I'm going to try out Carnegie and Mercer lakes and just generally scout around to find "my spot".  I love fishing madly, but what I loved most about it was my location and I wish I could recreate that carefree feeling of sitting in the hot sun on a sandy bank with no people for miles, stringing a worm and knowing it will work.  And just feeling at home.  It's so congested here.  I can't wait to get outside and hike, away from everyone.  And I vow never to go to Walmart again, so long as I live.  Talk about a cluster fuck.

So instead of skiing out west, we're going to Chicago on Friday, coming back Sunday for our birthday festivities.  Not enough people could have made.  This should be fun though, I love Chicago, favorite city in the US.  Dang it's gonna be cold  :(  

We have till the end of the month to decide if we're staying in this apartment or not.  I love the location, but Princeton is so inflated.  This place is def not worth $1500/month.  We can get another 2 bedroom in a nicer community just a half mile down the road in West Windsor for $300 a month less, and it has garage parking and allows pets.  I want to get in there baaaad!  it looks perfect.
